Six months after the unveiling of the statue of the king in December,our Buddhist pilgrimage to malkada begins.people in every part of our country are going to worship the left foot of our Lord Buddha. The first route to sripadaya is considered to be Raja para. The road is a bit rough and connects to Dharmaraja  Gala, Geththampana, Haramitipana, Mahagiridambaya etc. Devotees traveling on Raja Road have a desire to speak with Lihini Akka at Lihini Hela. After passing the Dragon Pantheon, worship the Lord Buddha, go to the seetha gagula, take a bath, wash the offerings washed with lime juice and pray for the blessings of sumana saman Thero. It was very difficult to reach the destinatoin in the bitter cold with the help of Sumana Saman God. It is also the custom of the people to recite the poems of the Thunsarana and to some group and to someone in good language to soothe the tiredness of each other during the pilgrimage.

After bathing in the seetha gagula, Dharmaraja climbed the rock, rested on the Lihini hill, drank coffee with aggala of Haramitipane, ascended in the bitter cold of the Mahagiridamba, bowed his head to the left sripa padma,🙏sat down and looked aruond at the Dolos mahe pahana. The joy of enlightenment cannot be overstated.
