Gamehi Mudunaa Kukulaaya.   Kukulugala or Horana kanda, marked 1531m feet above the Sabaragamuwa mountains on the map of Srilanaka, is located in our village. It is a mountain of rare trees & many valuable medicinal plants. ornamental aquatic plants as well as rare fish such as endemic Paadiyaa, Thippiliya & Bulath hapaya can be seen in the streams flowing from all four directions. Legend has it that Lord Buddha came to place the Siripa mark on the mountain but did not place the it on the rock at the top of the mountain because a rooster was crowing. Legend has it that the first word was added to the name of our village because of Theexistence of a terrifying species of endangered cow called gavaraa on this mountain. This mountain is home to deer, buffaloes, rabbits, pigs & ittewan. Ritigas Falls is a scenic waterfall.     WADIMU SAMADA MUNIDU SIRIPA 🙏   Samanala Kanda 🌄 Six months after the unveiling of the statue of the king in December,our Buddhist pilgrimage to malkada begins.people in every part of our country are going to worship the left foot of our Lord Buddha. The first route to sripadaya is considered to be Raja para. The road is a bit rough and connects to Dharmaraja  Gala, Geththampana, Haramitipana, Mahagiridambaya etc. Devotees traveling on Raja Road have a desire to speak with Lihini Akka at Lihini Hela. After passing the Dragon Pantheon, worship the Lord Buddha, go to the seetha gagula, take a bath, wash the offerings washed with lime juice and pray for the blessings of sumana saman Thero. It was very difficult to reach the destinatoin in the bitter cold with the help of Sumana Saman God.
